The tutorial is Matic itself, in training mode: the real screens, a sample patient who is not real, and nothing that reaches your EHR or your schedule. Dr. Matic, the guide, walks you through one whole visit, then you run two more on your own. About 20 minutes in all.
Where to start it: on your Welcome page in Matic, the first item of the Getting started checklist is Start the guided visit. You can rerun it any time from Settings → Advanced.
The guided visit
Dr. Matic sits in a small panel you can drag anywhere, and Matic points at the screen as you go. You follow the sample visit from the night before to the sent note:
The night before. The visit lands on your schedule and Matic prepares the brief overnight.
Prep. Every section of the brief, then what changes when the patient arrives: check-in records and today's vitals (check-in and intake happen in your EHR, off screen).
The problem list. Hands on: add a problem Matic found in the labs, remove a resolved one, accept a more specific code, decide a payer-file suggestion, then let Matic do the rest.
Recording. Start the recording, ask the chart a question with Ask Matic, press Finalize.
The note and the codes. Each section, Magic Edit, every code's justification, the claim bar, and the send.
Two practice visits
Test Patient 2 and Test Patient 3 are on the training schedule, already roomed. No guide: reconcile, record, finalize, review and send each one the way you would in clinic. Ask Matic and the Support chat are there if you get stuck.
Why this replaces reading the guides
The tutorial covers the top bar, the schedule and a full visit on the real screens, so you don't need to read those guides first. They stay in Getting started as references for later: A tour of the top bar, Your schedule, explained, Your first visit, start to finish and Inside a visit: the Prep and Note tabs.
