About Matic Care

What Matic Care does for physicians, how to get started, and where to find each guide.

Written by Bryce Blackwell

Matic Care is for physicians and clinicians. It works on top of athena: it prepares you for each visit, listens while you see the patient, writes the note and suggests codes, then sends them to the athena encounter for you to sign. Nothing reaches athena until you review it.

What it does

  • Prep: a brief of the patient's chart before every visit, and a suggested problem list to reconcile.

  • Ambient documentation: record the visit and Matic writes the note in the template you choose.

  • Coding: ICD-10 and CPT codes suggested from what was documented, for you to review.

  • Send to Athena: the note and codes go straight to the athena encounter, unsigned, for you to sign.

  • Ask Matic: click the sparkle icon in the top bar to ask about the open patient, or a general clinical question.

Get started

Seven short steps, about 15 minutes, to get ready for your first clinic day.

Need help? Click Support in the top bar. Chat with Mat, our support agent, first. It answers from these guides, and when something is wrong it files a ticket for you and tells you whether it is already a known bug or request. The help articles and your tickets are in the same window.
