Released October 16, 2026.
Note that v1.35 was skipped because of a hotfix, so these notes cover everything new since v1.34.
What's New
No new features.
Improvements
Screeners due at each visit. Prep and Note show which screeners (such as PHQ-9) are due and why, which ones your MA already completed at intake today with scores, and when each was last done.
In-office lab tests such as rapid strep get the QW modifier automatically.
Vaccines. Every seasonal flu product is available to pick, including Flucelvax trivalent. Answer buttons show the product name, and vaccine lines go through with their immunization diagnosis instead of waiting for review.
Annual Wellness Visits. When a standardized depression screen is done, G0444 is billed alongside the AWV with the correct screening diagnosis.
Transitional Care Management. Eligible post-discharge visits are coded 99495/99496 directly, without an extra question.
Quality code 1111F. Discharge medication reconciliation is now available as a quality code.
New diagnoses from the conversation. Problems clearly stated during the visit now appear as code options.
Official CPT descriptions are shown throughout.
A clearer Send review. Each code appears once, the reason any item isn't being sent is stated plainly, modifiers are shown on each claim line, and Send becomes available once the review is ready.
Vitals trends. Weight, height and temperature show in familiar units (lb, in, °F) with full history. Height now has its own tile, and empty tiles are hidden.
Chart data stays visible if athenaOne is briefly unavailable. Matic keeps showing the last vitals, medications and notes, and when they're from.
One clear timestamp shows when the pre-visit brief was generated.
Templates match the visit. The note template is chosen from the scheduled appointment type.
Faster notes. Notes start generating sooner after the visit.
The feedback form accepts multiple screenshots.
Fixes
Your code choices stick. Codes you keep or remove are preserved when you regenerate the note.
Rejected modifiers stay off the claim. If you swap or reject a modifier, only your choice goes to athena.
No duplicate charges. Matic checks the claim at the moment you click Send, so lines already entered in athenaOne aren't added again.
Related conditions stay accurate. Conditions that must be coded together, such as hypertensive heart disease with heart failure, stay as separate problems. A more specific version of an existing problem updates that problem instead of creating a duplicate.
Insurance badges now identify Medicare Advantage plans correctly.
Your team's notes are protected. If someone on your care team has written in an athena diagnosis box, Matic leaves that text untouched.
Cleaner diagnosis entries. Matic no longer fills diagnosis boxes with placeholder or boilerplate text. A diagnosis with its own assessment gets that assessment's text.
More reliable screening due dates. Cologuard follows its 3-year interval. Smoking status comes from the patient's recorded tobacco history, so non-smokers no longer get lung screening reminders. Screening dates come from the screening's own record.
Pre-visit briefs prepare more reliably overnight, and same-day appointments are prepared promptly instead of waiting behind the overnight batch.
Chart documents upload more reliably from athenaOne.
The feedback form reopens correctly after you close it.
